I made these dangle earrings with durable, yet light-weight circle-shaped wooden bases and covered each piece front and back with high quality scrapbook paper in a school supplies design with images of notebooks, colored pencils, an eraser, markers, apple, paper clips, and pencil bag (red, blue, green, yellow, white, black) I hand-painted the earring edges in a metallic gold/silver paint to match the gold-tone/silver stainless steel 1 inch hoops. For protection, water resistance, and a glossy finish; I sealed them entirely with resin. These earrings are lightweight and one of a kind. * For size comparison, earrings are shown next to a quarter.
